Anyone who has eaten at Dishoom (or just walked by) has seen/experienced the queue leading upto the indian culinary experience. It has put me off from actually trying the restaurant until yesterday when we thought we would give it a go for a special occasion.

The wait time was estimated to be 45mins-1h, but we waited “only” 40mins. You wait outside unless there is enough space in the bar. We even queued for getting a buzzer actually!

The wait was in my opinion worth it, probably more so due to the general ambience in the restaurant rather than just the food. The decor was nice not tacky, waiters friendly and food arrived quickly. We had the lamb boti kababs, mattar paneer, rice, lamb samosas, garlic butter naan and dal. My favourite was definitely the garlic nan and mattar paneer.

Overall, I would go again! There were definitely loads of other curries that I wanted to try and I really liked the atmosphere at the restaurant. Next time with a group though, as you can make table reservations for groups of 6+ people.
